Maximum Participants: 12
Program Priorities:
- A Fun, School-Year Program, featuring sufficient regularity and volume of practice, including duo (semi-private) lessons, amongst a small enthusiastic group, to permit significant development of skills.
- Introduction to the rules, etiquette and requirements of Open Play through periodic matchplay sessions.
- Implementation of Long-Term Athlete Development Stage #2: FUNdamentals: “The most important focus of this stage is to emphasize fun and enjoyment when playing tennis.”
Program Features:
- Full-Time NTS Program Leader
- Maximum 12 Students
- Duo Lessons (15 lessons per student)
- Intermittent Matchplay Sessions (9 per year)
- Seasonal Assessments
Curriculum emphasizes athleticism, the 5 playing situations, the process of play (ready-set-stroke), stroke development and the FUNdamentals of sportsmanship and successful play.
Student Requirements:
- Correct Age Group
- Ability to Function within a Group Setting
- Minimum 80% Attendance of Group Lessons, Duo Lessons and Matchplay sessions combined (measured after Fall, Winter & Spring sessions)
Required Activities:
- 2 Group Lessons per week
- Intermittent Duo Lessons
- Intermittent In-House Matchplay

Monday 5:00-6:30 pm
Wednesday 5:00-6:30 pm
Duo Lessons: Sundays, 1:00-2:00 pm or 2:00-3:00 pm (schedule TBD)
Matchplay: Saturdays, 2:00 – 5:00 pm (schedule TBD)
Competitive Requirements:
Not Applicable, apart from intermittent in-house Matchplay Sessions
Physical Training Requirements:
Not Applicable, On-Court sessions will include emphasis on motor skills, balance, quickness, spatial awareness, body awareness, rhythm.

Program Priorities:
- A Fun, School-Year Program, featuring sufficient regularity and volume of practice, including duo (semi-private) lessons, amongst a small enthusiastic group, to permit significant development of skills.
- Open Play and Competitive Development through participation in U9 Tournaments (OTA/QTF), TDC Cup and/or other suitable Team Events, and periodic In-House Matchplay sessions.
- Introduction to Off-Court Physical/Athletic Development and Training
- Implementation of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD) Stages #2 and #3: “FUNdamentals” and “Developing.”

- Full-Time NTS Program Leader
- Maximum 8 Students
- Maximum 4 Players per Court
- 1:4 Coach-Student
- Duo Lessons (15 lessons per student)
- Intermittent Matchplay Sessions (9 per year)

U10 ALL-STARS PROGRAM

U9 All-Stars Graduates, Mighty Mites: Advanced+, UTR 2.0-5.0
Program Priorities:
- A Fun, School-Year Program for Competitive Players, featuring sufficient regularity and volume of practice, including duo (semi-private) lessons, amongst a small enthusiastic group, to permit significant development of skills and strong results at the Provincial U10 Level.
- Implementation of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD): Stage 1: “Developing”, Stage 2: “FUNdamentals”, and Stage 3: “Becoming a well rounded athlete and building the full-court tennis skills required to be a player.”
- Open Play and Competitive Development through participation in Provincial U10 Tournaments (OTA/QTF) in both Local/Regional and Out-Of-Town locations, TDC Cup and/or other suitable Team Events, and periodic In-House Matchplay sessions. U12 Competition may also commence for players in this group, at the discretion of the Program Leader.
- Off-Court Physical/Athletic Training Included as a Key Element for High Performance Development.

- Measurable Improvement (Skills, UTR Rating, Ranking), as per Agreed Objectives
- Parental Adherence to NTS “Role of the Parent” Provisions
- Minimum 8 Tournaments and/or sanctioned Team Events during the School Year
